The Prophet's Song is a testimony to the message brought by
Muhammad peace be upon him for all of humanity throughout time. It is a
fusion of musical inspiration from the east and west enhanced by the
wisdoms and teachings of the Islamic tradition. This album represents a
global tradition in the universal language of music and adds to the
voices of many others who see no contradiction between faith and global
citizenship. It reflects my identity as a Muslim and a Canadian. Many
hours were spent in the studio, rehearsing and recording and with the
work of a skillful team, it is our sincere hope that this album will
find it's place in the hearts of men, women and children. Each nasheed
(Islamic song), has it's own unique story or inspiration and is a blend
of both the Arabic and English languages. They were written over
numerous years and secretly stored away. Over time however, I began to
realize that God, had given me an opportunity and one which I could not
allow to simply slip away. So, with the encouragement and support of my
family, friends, hard work, long drives, traffic, many cups of coffee,
moments of frustration, moments of prayer, happiness, tears and many
duas the album was completed. It is my sincere wish that people
recognize it as a form of remembrance, a chance to share one of the
world's oldest faiths and an opportunity for celebrating the many
blessings that surround us. Finally, I ask that you remember my family
and I in your prayers, that God will bless us to continue striving on
His path, that we continually try to be of benefit to all of His
creation and most importantly - earn His pleasure.

Jeewan headlined the Muslimfest concert held on August 1st at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. He performed the title track to his album, "The Prophet's Song" to cheers from a crowd that joined in. Spectators referred to the performance as "amazing" and said that they "could not wait to hear more."
MuslimFest celebrates the best in Muslim arts and entertainment. The
event featured over 50 local and international artists who showcased
their talent in various areas. Concerts featuring popular Muslim
artists, comedy shows, a multicultural bazaar, and a kids carnival were some of the fun things at MuslimFest.
